Our team gathers the necessary documents for the commercial register application, such as:
- Application for address change
- Shareholder resolution (if applicable)
- Managing director’s declaration
The managing director’s signature on the application for the address change must be officially notarised. Once we have gathered all the necessary documents, we will provide you with a pre-prepared draft of the application in a bilingual format (German and your preferred language) presented side by side.
You will sign this document in the presence of a local notary. If you require assistance in locating a suitable notary, we are happy to help you find one. After signing, please send the original notarised document to us by post, so we can proceed with the submission to the commercial register.
The notarised documents are now submitted to the competent local court (Amtsgericht). The processing time for the address change entry typically ranges from 3 to 10 business days, depending on the court’s workload.
After the commercial register has been updated, we assist in notifying relevant authorities and institutions, including:
- Tax Office (Finanzamt)
- Trade Office (Gewerbeamt)
- Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK)
- Social Security Agencies
- Employers’ Liability Insurance Association (Berufsgenossenschaft)
- Business partners and clients (if applicable)
We provide you with confirmation of the successful address change and copies of all relevant documents for your records.
